Samsung Galaxy S3 May 3rd?

I'm overdue for mine mate, been holding off for this. If it's a duffer probably gonna go for HTC One X, specs look great, had a 2 minute play with one on Saturday & very impressed (shame about the absence of Dr Beats headphones for UK customers though, seemingly)
HH.

that looks like i nice phone good spec, i have been looking at the galaxy note which i no is massive but i like the fact samsung use the gorilla glass as i've dropped my phone a few times now and doesn't have a scratch on it after nearly two years.

\im also due an upgrade was looking at the HTC one x it's a shame they havent got a Micro SD slot and they locked the battery inside the case...These are exact 2 things I hate about Iphones and now...HTC follow suit..

Lets see if the S3 is worth the wait...

its quadcore phone with the same battery as the normal phones, its as good as it can be i would expect

HappyH I have just got the s2 and it is a pretty good phone the battery life is not very long but charge it up over night and its good. To improve on the s2 would make it a great phone. Let me know how you get on with it HappyH if you get one. :)

anyone got any confirmed pics of it yet!

aye samsung have went ll apple on us, ie not much for an 'update'

I was going to return my one x to get this, but looking at the specs other than the removable battery and sd slot the one x is a better phone.
Now it would be a different story if samsung moved away from touch wiz and loaded vanilla android from the get go.
personally i love sense and hate touch wiz, ive used it on my galaxy tab for all of 3 mins before feeling the need to hack and remove the overlay, the sense roms on the otherhand i actually like the look off and dont feel the need to hack it - thus keeping my warrenty.
It looks to me like its more of an update to the s2 than an new phone all together, a lot of owners of the s2 probo wont benifit from this upgrade.

as for the one x, the standby time is fantastic, the companion core really makes a difference, i left my phone last weekend from friday night to monday morning (well actually misplaced it lol) and when i picked it up it had 25% battery left, now i had also used the phone all day friday so thats not bad at all.
When in use though it can whip though the battery atm in just under 6 hrs watching movies, and about 16 - 18 hrs listening to mp3. for a powerfull phone like this i dont think its that bad.

Think I was expecting/hoping for more (ceramic case, 2gb RAM) so I'm a tad underwhelmed. Need to compare it to the HTC One X in the flesh.
HH.
Oh & not available in black, what's that about?
