have a look on PSP Hacks · Hacks, Cracks, Mods, Homebrew, Utilities · Hack Sony Play Station Portable

20th October 2006, 00:17 #3 I have done 5 psps it is easy as long as you follow the instructions. Maybe upgrading to 2.5 or 2.6 would be easier to downgrade from. Check out the differnt ways to see which is best for you.

20th October 2006, 08:44 #4 i have done loads from 2.00 down to 1.50 and about 7 or 8 from 2.50/2.60 down to 1.50.
trust me, they are very easy, as long as you follow the guides.
and all you need (apart from GTA umd) is in the sticky section in the PSP section

21st October 2006, 15:41 #7 I too am a little dubious about downgrading bymyself and would love to go to a back street shop to do it. What I dont understand is that why dont people just rip the files out of the GTA disc and encorporate them into the automatic downgrader? (If its stupid question - sorry, it because I dont know the technical side of downgrading)

see post above, you dont need gta files, upgrade to 2.71 then use the 2.71 downgrader, it takes you through the process its fool proof, and i mean fool proof.
get on with it.
