How do i restore
hi ya guy's, me again, after a succesful reformat and everything loaded back on without a hitch, thanks to you guy's, there is just one thing I don't know how to do. I've got outlook express sorted out and folders and accounts restored on to it, but how do i restore my favourites, surely I don't have to reload one by one.
Any help please with this?

Favourites? Do you mean in IE. If u didn't save em then getting them back might be a tad difficult. (One by One may seem easier).
Get a anti delete prog.
I use Restorer200Pro. U can get a Free trial at Bitmarts Site. Simple to use but takes 4 ever.
This is assuming ure new copy of windows hasn't overwriten the data u r trying to retrieve.
They stored in C:\Documents and Settings\{USER}\Favorites

Im not sure what i am looking at here.
I obviously never saw the original thread about backing up ure favs.
Is (3) the backup dir of ure favourites?
Find folder in explorer and look in one of the subfolders.
Are ure links in there?
Click one does it take u to the website?
If Yes then copy all the sub folders into C:\Documents and Settings\Tina\Favorites
If no then:-
Did u export using file-->import and export.
If so then u need to point to the file bookmark.htm.
Do a search for it. Remember where it is and then point to it with Browse.
Attachment 15692
When u find the right folder u will see bookmark.htm in the bottom.

ok i sorted it now thanks guy's. I couldn't do it via import though. I think i didn't export the favs in the first place. I think i just saved the folder, anyway i didn't want to have to open every website then add to favs again, i managed to open them as a folder and drag and drop. Thanks guys for your time.

easyest way is to copy and paste then in documents and settings/favourites
