Alice
right guys i just started playing with wafer cards and here's what happened so read carfuly.
i downloaded itvpbmcalc from here: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/cr0wman/index.html
i unzipped it then run it.i then selected Secanix Alice v5.04b - Auto only.i put in oc key,od key and used the default od key.The package bitmap(pbm) i used is the default 1 :** ** ** ** ** ** ** **. Then i put in the MK01 and PPUA keys.i then created the hex files to be programmed into the wafer card. i found this works fine on all channels. it evens works with the itv select channels where you have to press select 2times to view them. This method creates an auto updating card. For those of you who do not want an auto updating card then do the above but leave out the MK01 and PPUA keys. The only problem with this is the itvpbmcalc creates hex files with an expirey date of 31/12/01 which means the software is no good after the new year but if you go here: http://www.xdigital.addr.com/home/secasoft.htm
and download secautil-0.76.zip you can edit the eeprom code and change the date.
i hope this info is helpful!
Please no codes: even pbm codes. sorry!

nodrog did you read everything i wrote?
i explained that if you don't want an auto updating card you have to change the date of the hex files after the new year, also i said leave out the MK01 and PPUA keys!
this stops the alice code from updating!
the reason i use alice code is it's the only code i've tried that works ok!
i read all the posts about all the problems people are having with the itv select channels so i thought i would pass on the information i learned about it.Also i have a Philips box. When i use other hex files or mosc cards i get an error on the box that says it has not been possible to validate your card. With alice code i do not get any problems at all.

yes I read your post and as I said it's au only therefore the date will only alter when it updates it's self
ps I think I know you from the cafe at norfolk bridge

yes it's me who goes to the cafe sometimes.Hi! how are you?
the reason i posted that was because i saw people having problems and i also saw that some of them didn't want to put thier keys in the wafers.it does work with out the keys but it won't update.also it won't update the date.the only way i saw to update the date was to use the eeprom hex editor.
