Im planing on putting a hardrive in teh xbx jus wanna no few points

-Wots teh best make 2 use
-Wots the max u can put in
-Dus it matter on teh model

300gb maxtor with 16mb cache <definate / edit: 400gb's work with a newer bios

it depends on your chip also and the bios revioson you have.
as for make there is little difference as i understand when choosing a drive, i would avoid western digital or fujitsu regardless.

i never said it wouldnt be, fujitsu and wd drives tend to have a shorter lifespan than seagates for instance, thats why i said i would avoid them regardless of the fact you can use any drive just about.

400 gig hitachi in mine with an old duo x chip with latest x-ecutor bios works perfectly

my friend has got a dox added to the bottom of his xbox and it has got 4 250 gig hard drive in so thats 1terabyte for downloaded games i think that you can get em off ebay fairly cheap just search for "xbox hard drive caddy"

lol i tried that and foooked up my power supply lol, need to get som sort of external suppy.

yeh that prolly wud zap all ur power but its a mean machine when it gets up and running.

no mate not a mean maching.." A MONSTER XBOX KING OF THEM ALL" if one of my mate heres about me puttin in a terabyte in a computer. they will faint....imagin puttin it in a XBOX .. i can imagin lol... million gammes, miliiion videos.. blah blah... ta list goes on and on. xbox never ending.
