Discuss Powering down at the FREEVIEW within the DigitalWorldz - Satellite, Cable, Console Forums; ONLY when watching the footy and Red hot:o my screen powers down every two minutes and I have to adjust volume or anything else on my remote for the screen to brighten up again...any ideas ...

and Red hot:o my screen powers down every two minutes and I have to adjust volume or anything else on my remote for the screen to brighten up again...any ideas peeps? Oh its a 37" panasonic plasma wiv freeview. Any tips would be appreciated!

31st January 2006, 21:50 #2 I havent used that tv, but when you say 'powering down' des the screen just go dark, then the volume will light it up again?
It might be to do with the mheg, your tv might think if there has been no interaction withn 2 minutes, then power down(stops the screen burning with static images).
Have a look around in the menus for MHEG options or something.

Yes m8, the screen goes dark (although you can still see the picture) and touching the remote powers it up again. Can't see mheg in menus anywhere. There IS a power save function, although its in the OFF position. Theres also a screen saver function (set at two minutes) but that should'nt power it down!...The bit I dont understand is...why only on these 2 channels? Oh and as for letting the missus touch my remote..I should be so lucky!!

Try disabling the screensaver when using PPV stuff.
