i have tried this cheap pc to phone software lt is crap you do need your pc burning away all day to make calls & you only get 1 min call to lanline phone not worth the bother. I got rid of bt a few months ago a friend recomended switch2 they charge me £20 a month for free calls to any 01 or 02 numbers 24/7 356 days a year and that does inclued the line rental too . You do have to pay extra for caller display £1.50 & other addons u want but i just have caller display so i know whos calling me when its my family or friends that ring me they just ring twice then ringoff and i ring them right back so it is saving them money too i pay a total of £20 & £1.50 for my caller display a month total £21.50p per month best move i ever made bt are conning bastxxds . ps here is there web addy & freephone number if anyone want to give them a try i can recommend them >http://www.switch2telecoms.co.uk/ phone 0800.068.2212

i've got a unit with built in router that plugs into my modem and has 2 lines which you can plug an ordinary phone into which cost me £20. I use one line for incoming calls 01 number and the other for outgoing calls which i can make free calls 24/7 to 18 worlwide destination landline numbers for FREE.

i've been using my pc for 4 months now all calls free to 01/02 landlines and if you buy £5 credit then its unlimited not one min.

search for voip cheap i recommend it

I have had switch2 since november and there customer service is fine i have had no problems with them they are very helpfull and it does not take you hours waiting on the phone to talk to a real person well worth changing over & there customer service number is a freephone number 0800 068 2212. Just got my bill from them today made a few none 01 02 calls came to £ 1.61 my total bill for the month was £23.11 well worth it mate give them a ring they will tell you whats what there very helpfull ok

i have ntl bb thats all, use sipgate for incoming calls 02 number and voipbuster for ouitgoing calls free to 18 countries as long as i have 5 euro vredit

still need bt line for adsl

yeh bt have you by the balls, maybe one day they will offer broadband with out telephone service but i doubt it
