i open nagra edit and try to read card and get this message

Error reseting card, ATR string invalid
Closing of COM1 was successful

what does this mean and where am i going wrong i have a modded t911

This is how U do it with a programmer m8

1. fire up software that came with programmer (cas studio in my case)
2. put the programmer in Pheonix mode (from the utilities menu)
3. fire up Nagraedit and away you go.

Problem is that the t911 doesnt come with software, or mine didnt, so I have never been able to view a card with Nagraedit and the t911.

I would also be keen to know if there is a standalone pheonix emulator that can be used with the t911 so Nagraedit can be used, but i am not even sure whether the t911 works at the same level as a programmer to allow cards to be read like that.

the t911 cannot be used to open the card in nagra - its only function is as a device to unlock the card with winex scripts.
you need a separate programmer set to pheonix mode in order to use all the card editing software for rom/mosc cards.

Cheers for confirming that TWOBEERCANS, had a feeling that was the case, I just never tried so wasnt too sure.

you want a decent programmer m8 - try a duolabs dynomite or simitar
