Hey one and all im another newbie-got my dbox from germany and having a play around-it has yadi loaded, i have dl the t-w service file but cannot workout where to get the autoupdatekey thing..
I feel i need to change my image to boxcracker?, but i have a laptop only and have no com port!! ive read lots of tutorials, but a little more help is needed!! great site here and you all seem very helpful

use the zogre image in the downloads
you dont ned a com port just a rj45 ethernet crossover connection and flash fxp
the autoroll key is in thedbox downloads
there is all the info you need in the dbox section just read thro it
What are the benefits of the zogre image over some of the others? I have been running a next-gen image for a little while, and I am pretty happy with it, although I do get the occasional drop-out and freeze, and the network streaming is also a little bit wonky. Hmm, not sure why I am happy, actually. Does the zogre image perform better in any of these areas in your opinion?Originally Posted by IANBBB

ok got the image thats great...i still cant find the autoupdate key...i must be blind or something! i have opened all the threads to...
This image is already set for autoupdate you just need your own service xml

Zgore seems the most stable ie no freezes and no sinc problems.
only thing missing is the tuxbox commander.
Are the images in the download section 2x? In general, is there any way of telling if it isn't specificied in the filename?
The zogre image is 2x m8 and i think the sporster is as well
yes the sportster is 2Xi as well
