5. White terrorists are part of a “fringe.” Other terrorists are apparently mainstream.

6. White terrorists are random events, like tornadoes. Other terrorists are long-running conspiracies.

7. White terrorists are never called “white.” But other terrorists are given ethnic affiliations.

8. Nobody thinks white terrorists are typical of white people. But other terrorists are considered paragons of their societies.

9. White terrorists are alcoholics, addicts or mentally ill. Other terrorists are apparently clean-living and perfectly sane.

10. There is nothing you can do about white terrorists. Gun control won’t stop them. No policy you could make, no government program, could possibly have an impact on them. But hundreds of billions of dollars must be spent on police and on the Department of Defense, and on TSA, which must virtually strip search 60 million people a year, to deal with other terrorists.

Managed to miss a few such the IRA and UVF (and probably another 8 or 9 other factions) in Ireland, ETA in Spain, Red Brigade in Italy, Baader-Meinhoff and the Red Army Faction in Germany, November 17 in Greece and there are many other less known groups throughout Europe.
And that before you even start look at "white" terrorist groups in the rest of the World.

Maybe you should have added a little context when posting this list? No mention of Juan Cole, who he is or what the list refers to. Maybe you believe this list has equal relevance in Europe as in the USA? Maybe you think it's all laughable which would explain why it's posted in this section?

You seem to miss the fact they were not terrorists up until recently with the homeland security changes that were to stop terror acts in the USA but conveniently have been used against their own citizens white or otherwise.

Terrorist is a name anyone can be called now wheras we all know what the original meaning of it was and is... rule changes to tag people in the same group dont count imo,

Looks to me to be propaganda (a word ive used twice today).

I'll make my own mind up on what i think a terrorist is or isnt and i cant for the life of me see why this is in fun and laughter as i personally dont find any of it amusing, maybe im just getting old.

note im not having a go at OP either just merely the content of the post.

well if you can point me out a humorous line or even a punchline i'll concede it was a joke even if unfunny.

I dont see any fun or laughter in the post tbh and wouldnt be out of place in the old rant room.

The List was written by Juan Cole who is an American University Professor and part time author and journalist.
He is white and became a muslim after dabbling with several other religions while studying Middle East and South Asian History (which he now teaches).
He has written books and writes internet blogs, which have led to him being considered a somewhat radical Islamist.
So in my book he is the type of person that does a disservice to the majority of ordinary Muslims and stirs up trouble by his comments which I believe is his intention.
