Security cleared cleanersmobile phones, laptops, camera or recording devices not allowed on site...been there. Try sitting in a 10x10 steel cage and having to shout to get it unlocked so you can go the toilet lol

You'd freak if i showed you what we do...... how ever we have a small risk factor touch wood (so we only get fined a small amount from the bank that we quite happily pay every month rather than up the antics on PCI, the bank would probably pull the plug on us in an instant..) it has been a while since we last had an audit on it.....but it's just a matter of time......
You work in a Faraday cage testing kettle plugs? i KNEW IT!!!! LOL...
The "Data Center" housed other servers and the ones specific to the contract i was working on couldn't physically be within distance/reach of others or provide someone the ability to bridge connections or copy data between server farms.
Our DR site needed to be at least 20+ miles away also.

so not a usb stick in site then?![]()
The joys of sysadmins lol.
I would consider secure backups offsite ??? If tape drives... Drive you mad lol (sorry lol)
I agree about cloud security too, so many files being in so many places at once lol...
But it's edge technology to have things on quick nodes.

So we have signed the deal and were going with the 32k Option, gets me why we have to have a "tape drive" though at a cost of £2100.00 and also "ML350 GEN8 REDUNDANT FAN" £160.00. !!!
The cleaning tape for it is £945.00!
7.5k for implementation! we haven't got any money!

Hmm...thanks.
Can't get my head around why were spending £3155.00 on tape/backup?
3 new laptops for people that still write on post it notes and this one just to top it off and do my nut, an I5 for some one that can't even add dairy requests to outlook! not even here half the time!
I give up!
