Question Blade BM7000S - Empty Folders & 'Ghost' Recordings

Had an interesting couple of hours messing with my Blade today (it's raining !)
Over the last few days Movies and stuff (mainly Women’s’ Beach Volleyball) I've recorded have disappeared from the [Files List] not all but most of them, so I removed my HDD from the Blade and plugged it into my laptop so see if they were hiding elsewhere. I opened the [Records] folder and found a total of 1548 folders of which 1539 were empty, mostly named GOLD and dated 22July. I deleted all the empty folders, leaving the remaining 9. I then returned the HDD to the Blade and hey-presto! the missing programmes & films were back in the [Files List]
I’ve no idea what’s caused the Blade to do this, has it happened to anyone else? Perhaps a bug or suttin’
