ITV now have HD regional channels is there any news about BBC doing the same thing? Really annoying have that red screen when it switches to regional news etc.

Can't see it happening anytime soon, given there are 18 regions (including Scottish and NI variants) and all the cuts they are having to make and are going to close BBC HD to make room for BBC2 HD at some point.
