Secondly, this horrible day makes me appreciate what a pain in the arse it is in my country to obtain firearms and ammunition legally.
Compared with the USA and many other parts of the world, the UK does not have any such right to posess firearms, but you must demonstrate a need, prove it to the police, and then continue to prove you have that need on an ongoing basis. You can't own fully automatic weapons in any calibre, and semi auto only in smallbore, and no hand guns full stop. This is why the UK has almost no gun crime at all with legally owned firearms.

Banning legally held guns here is pointless, it's illegal guns that are used in crime. And of course illegally held guns are banned already... The UK model has its critics, but it works. PS If you ever find yourself in posession of any firearm not correctly licenced, expect 5 years in klinck. Whether you fire it or not. The UK police don't muck about with this.

Hmm not going to get into an argument over should the usa ban firearms or not. But I would hazard a guess that with they have a higher % of people killed/injured by nut-cases than what we have in the UK. We are not perfect by any means. But as above at least the ones that kill with firearms over here tend to be illegally held firearms. The bullets are not bought from ASDA or whatever. You mostly cant get hold of guns in this country unless you are in that type of circle.

Put it this way I might get into a bad mood tonight and go out and happy slap someone (Not really BTW) But me sitting in my bedroom in the USA could think hmm think I will go out and shoot some cnut with daddy's gun tonight, this may end up with an innocent killed and me facing the death sentence. How can that be better ?

Erm, who said it was better? 'Bearing arms' is in the US Constitution and that's their problem. It's a lot harder for nutters to get guns in the UK and that's good.

guns are no way the symptom... they are are a leveler ....... if someone gets picked on then they run, and no harm is done,as long as they keep on running.(fact of life ) life of the fittest.... the weaker picks up gun, turns around and fires the gun and kills the strongest, the strongest more intelligent dies, so the the world becomes chaos...... reminds of anything thats happening now...... ????
