Anyone see the letter from a guy in the paper couple of days ago ? he was a 20yr+ Soldier, ex detective and wrote to G4S for a job at the Olympics because there where recruiting and got just a thanks letter back and fook all again

How did this G4S company get the contract in the first place? Someone somewhere must have taken a considerable back hander for it... The most annoying thing about all of it is the fact its just dismissed and onto the next thing, like everything else. Brushed under the carpet

The problem with this company is they have got to big for there boots. Dictating and demanding is a priority that is what it looks like. Cases of mistreated bodies swept under the table. Were they bought out to keep there mouths shut?. Like snp-g said when all this has finished let the redundant soldiers run our security needs not a load of criminals. Once again our Armed forces have to pull this Country out of the shit.

I seem to recall G4S being in previous "scandals", don't forget they were originally Group 4....oh where did that truck go again.....joking aside I'm sure there is a little slopy shouldering going on too, whilst G4S have a lot to answer for, I'm sure they are sitting in offices also blaming decisions within government etc.

To be fair however, the military deployment does seem a little severe, i mean rapier missiles and rocket launchers on the roof's !!!

im starting to think this was a setup from the start .. l think the government wanted the army in from the start but didnt want to wind the country up .. this way we all say its ok

i think its a big deterrent and if it saves lives then why not ....

god, we are so good at putting every thing this country does down ... sighz

Whether they use them or not it's a damn good training exercise for them. Because sooner or later the way things are going they will most definitely get used in the near future.

I dont think we're putting the idea down, I just think on the grand scheme of things with all these reports that we dont have money here, the government have messed up there soldiers are firstly sent out risking thier lives for nothing more than power hungry governments, and then being made redundant - is it fair? Also and this is only my opinion, why should these people get numerous chances when the eff things up? If I make a balls up at work I get 2 chances and Im out - these lot get as many chances as they want making large amounts of money from other peoples loses - fair? I think not.
