Did I mention Man United in that thread I must have missed that bit. Still never mind if you wish to ignore me so be it.

In an effort to divert the wrath of the thread, I'll bore you all with an amusing tale...

Many years ago I used to teach guitar at the local college which was only 10 minutes from my house. Afterwards we would all retire to the local hostelry for a swift half before going home. Unfortunately, we got talking and one person missed the last bus so I offered to run them home. I didn't know I had a faulty headlight...

Anyway, I got stopped by the local Mr Plod who observed that my breath smelled strongly of alcohol - I'd had just one pint. Okay it was Newcastle Brown. The breathalyser was deployed. I failed.

Arrested at the scene they sent for a Black Maria and a spare Mr Plod to drive my car to the station. Unfortunately, I was just over the border so the station was about 10 miles away.

Bundled in the Black Maria and let out at the station it's now about midnight. You fill in some forms, empty your pockets and get bunged in a cell. After about an hour you can take the full test. Sometimes it takes a while to get hold of someone to administer the test so it was about 3am before they got to me.

I passed that one so we filled in some more forms and I got my stuff back plus my car keys.

In the station compound it's starting to get light but still dark enough to require lights as I drive away.

A few miles from home I get stopped for having a defective headlight so I showed Mr Plod the forms and he must have reckoned I'd had enough for one night as he let me go.

I got in about quarter past six only to be met by a very irritated Mrs M to whom I had to relate the whole story - fortunately the forms are difficult to forge and that swung it for me (otherwise I reckon SHE would have swung FOR me).

By now it's about 7am so I had a shower and went to work completely knackered and drank non-alcoholic forever after if I was driving.

I can laugh now...

wonder who paid for the gobshites car in the first place.. ?? might as well have bought him a real weapon.. wonder if all the man flu fan boys would be sticking up and saying its not news if he had wiped out a mum and a few kids along the way

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what does this have to do with Man United other than his brother plays for them, it could have equally been a brother of someone that plays for Accrington Stanley
