Bit stumped buy a problem that just appeared on my DM800 configured for 3 satellites : 19.2/13/28.2 and running Gemini Project 3. Since a recent crash I can no longer view channels on 28.2.

When I noticed the problem I saw in the tuner settings that 28.2 was not there so I added it back and the channels turned white in the list...but no picture and they went black again. Tried a reboot an on/off but no go.

The strange thing is that I can scan the channels on 28.2.

Anyone seen that type of problem before? Hardware fault? Software fault or corrupt file/files? I had been noticing some daily crashes (frozen DM800) after years of running 24/7 with no problem, I did recently upgrade to GP3 from an old Gemini 3.8 I think.

try a new image mate, just to rule software out

I have had this before and re-installing the image fixed it for me. The image I use is DBUK 2.1.1 with the new Webif for controlling things with your laptop ect. I think its a brilliant image.

Thanks guys, that gave me the incentive to go through the flashing process again and I went for the DBUK from 20/06 and...failed to flash ss84 on my genuined 800HD so got pretty badly stuck! Fortunately I was able to get a hold of my old null modem cable and got back on my feet, phew !

After flashing to DBUK I have all my satellited back! Does look like a great image, anyone got a link for a list of all its features? One thing I'd like to do is remove the small line at the top left when changing channels, thought it was "Glass Utiliy ECM Info" but apparently not, any clues? Thanks!

Ok, it seems I got that fixed by switching to the PLi skin, would still like to be able to do it with the DBUK skin?

Not sure if it's a coincidence (probably not since switching back to the DBUK skin doesn't help) but my 28.2 channels are gone again! Same symptoms as before, 28.2 not in the tuner settings anymore, I add it back but no change...

ok...the saga continues, sorry but I've now found out how the pattern goes :
1. flash image
2. send favourites with DreamEdit -> 28.2 channels
3. restart Enigma2 or reboot DM800 -> No more access to the channels of 28.2, they're black in the list

The only way to get them back is to reflash an image apparently, strange isn't it! I guess there could be something wrong with the xml I'm sending back with DreamEdit that could have gotten corrupted at some point with all the crashes I was experiencing a couple of weeks ago...

I would say you are correct your channel list/satellite.xml file is most likely corrupt. The DBUK image does come with the option to install the latest 28.3e channel list and also has an "easy" update feature. I suppose it depends on the fact do you need other sats ect. The DBUK image is based on the PLI images so if you are still not happy you could always flash one the the latest PLI images over.....As for the channel list if you are using multi sat then just download one of the many "multi sat settings" that are available all over the place online....Probably even in this forum somewhere.

Thanks for pitching in, that was it indeed, restored a favorites backup, rebooted and got the 28.2 channels back...glad to have it fixed after a few hours of messing around. What was confusing is that the initial favorites restore via DeamEdit worked ok, only the restart/reboot triggered the problem.

I'll be sticking with DBUK for sure, if only for the controls via the web interface. Would still like to be able to remove that top ECM line when changing channels but that's not a huge problem.
