so i moved over a couple of avi files today to watch on my box
these were put in midia/hdd/movie and i can still see them in their in filezilla however when i now go into dvd player and look under that folder there nothing there..... they were showing earlier (and i even played one of the files)

why would they not be showing up now?

Not sure about BH but VIX sometimes your looking in the wrong folder and have to change to the correct folder to get the correct files you want to show up, In VIX you change location ( yellow button ) to do this.

as i told you previous in the other thread the dvd player menu is for playing dvd in a dvd player connected with a usb lead to your vu
to play your avi files and others you would have to go into your media player and move the files you want to play into your playlist ect.
or you can get an addon plugin like e.m.c. (enhanced movie center) once you have this installed you can play your files from the recorded files button
above the green button on my remote with a R on it have a play around with that and you'll soon figure it out

I thought DVD player was for playing vob files and reading DVD menu layouts etc that have been ripped and copied to the box, what DVD player is compatible with any enigma 2 box via USB? Never heard of anyone connecting a DVD player to their box to simply play a disc you may aswell just watch the DVD directly through the DVD player! Are you sure that's what it's for mate?

i'm sure i was talking to the b.hole team driver coder (angelofsky1980) because it's actually an external bluray player i have about three times the size of a cd box,he said that he's working on getting the blu ray players with usb lead to work too but he doesn't think it will in the near future.
But for now external dvd players should work perfect just plug and play and it take up very little space.
