so just recieved an xbox today. no controller, i mean i've never had an xbox before but this behaviour doesnt seem right. I turn it on, the drive ejects. i put a disc in the drive goes in and comes out. then i turn the console off the drive goes in and comes out again and turns off lol. (the green light continues to flash or blink i think this is when there is no controller connected)
Checked the warranty label it doesn't appear to have been opened. I want to know the cause of this problem. and if there is a simple solution. bang it maybe? lol

Hiya mate, have a look here it may help you out, but it would mean opening the xbox up which is probably best thing to do anyway unless its still in warrenty and you are thinking of sending it to microsoft, if you do send it to microsoft they will more than likely update it to the latest dashboard which would be no good for rgh at the moment,
