I bet that Woman went home with a big grin on her face because she had a pound knocked of that doll not realising the whole country is in uproar over what she complained about. Can you see how something on a small scale like that escalates in to a Racism problem once again. Its just plain ridiculous.

I believe she also wasn't happy that the cola was on a different shelf than the lemonade.

golly wog, golly wog, golly wog.
    see? you can!
they can accuse you of anything. proving it, is the problem.
and, no it aint, its a golly wog.

    fcuking PC gone mad.

I mean, its all bull shit but.
why is it ok to show a stylised image of a black African. all submissive and dressed like a bell boy. ( the "golly")
but taboo to call it a golly wog?
    neither seems that flattering.

    rhetorically speaking, of course.

i guess we should be thankful it here at all, it vanished for some time.
dropping the "wog", was one stipulation, made to its return. (to answer my own question, oops.)

When I bought my collection of ermm Gollywogs oops The man in the shop kept them right at the back he was scared stiff he couldn't wait to put them in a brown paper bag for me. Why? because he was frightened in case he got caught selling them and got branded a racist how pathetic. I used to love collecting the little tokens off the jam jars and when I had enough tokens collected I got a free pin badge woooo. Sadly no more its just a plain old jam jar mate.

Wog - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
    Definition of WOG

    chiefly British usually disparaging

Definition: a dark-skinned foreigner; especially: one from the Middle East or Far East

    Origin of WOG

    perhaps short for golliwog
    First Known Use: circa 1929

Now the definition has to be wrong if the origin is correct, because no way does a gollywog look like a cross between an Arab and a Chink

Emerald the term wog used as describing a dark skinned person sounds terrible and I personally would not associate a black person to this name. Do you remember years ago there was a programme on at the weekend called The black and White Minstrel show?. What great entertainment in its day, was it classed as racist??? no just good old fashioned entertainment. How long do you think that show would last today?. So now the PC brigade have a say also in what we are viewing. Does that seem fair?. Here is an interesting read The true meaning of the Golliwog. How bizzare to say the least. I personally love my collection of Golliwogs and I do not find anything bad in owning them they look great.
