i agree with that.
but most of the people that live on the houses on flood planes didn't build them, and there's all sorts of places getting flooded.

i saw a guy bailing out a flying helicopter yesterday.

i got an email from floodline telling me to protect my house family and property, started kaking it, feck all happened.
was raining heavy, but i'v seen it worse.

but this happens all over the world... we (the human race) build on or just off of flood plains, earthquake zones and at the bottom of volcanoes and low lying land for years and years...

why should we listen now...... ????

or, for those who didn't build their houses.
flood risk should be part of your survey (by law) when you buy a house.
if you ignore the level of risk, your on your own, you can bail and fix your own house (by arranging appropriate flood insurance.) and pay the emergency services for the help you get.

Our area is riddled with old coal mines and have to be checked on a registry before a mortgage is given to see if they were filled n capped, why not have the same for flood areas.
