Went to go online the other night on PS3 and got asked to run an update. When I checked it is an update from 2010 v1.4 but I already have the latest version on??
Anyone come across this problem?
Checked in system settings to check what version it says in there and it is on 4.11
I know I can probably run it without any probs but just curious to why this has happened?

I'm just going to do the update now anyway but as I say...was curious to why it wants to do this old update anyway.

Just went to do it again and it is showing 4.20 now.
Think this may have been my own stupidty after a few bevs the other night as its the license agreement that says about 1.4 so it must be quoting back to something in that.

It could be meaning an update for one of the games or Home or summat, there are normally updates for all sorts of stuff not just the main firmware.

yes sounds like a game update which is usually required to play online.

p.s. there was never a 1.4 update for ps3 it went from 1.32 to 1.5
