Right, me mate gave me a brand new controller, I've just used a still saw and an acetylene torch to make it through the package, and manage to prise the controller out and then out popped a small usb device.

So when that's plugged in the front of the PS3 I have also plugged in the controller and pressed the middle button, it seems to sycn and connect but as soon as I un-plug the cable then it's dead? been on charge like all night.

What I miss, I am supposed to take the back off or the like and add a battery or something to the controller?

Have u tried charging the controller without turning it on.....just plug it in and leave it,does the red light flash when on charge?

I've noticed that the PS3 will not chrage via it's usb slot when it's powered off, this also goes for the other controller, If i plug them in the front of an xbox then they charge, this one just seems as though it doesn't charge, just sits quite happily with it's 4 small led's flashing and you can leave that for ever and then as soon as you unplug it's nada.

It just won't hold a charge the controller so there's no point in trying. must be a dudd.

The controller itself needs to be reset. There is a reset button on the back of the controller, above the top right hand corner of the square with all on the information and barcode. Press it with a sharp tipped object while still connected to the PS3 via USB cable. Then press the PS button and you should be back on wirelessly.

You could use your Xbox, much better than a PS3 anyway

Lol... That's the thing i do charge the one controller using the 360....ironic... That other controller is bust.... Doesn't hold a charge at all.....

thanks mate, before I bin it I think I'll get the back of it and see if there's a battery in it, you never know with it being a "fake" "copy" then they might not have even installed one.
