i put a new screen on my nephews 3gs now im getting a white screen.
i have tried everything ie reset etc holdiing home,volume up and on button still
white screen.can anyoone know a fix or someone who can fix iphones.

willing to pay top dollar

yes mate tried the itunes and updated phone now white screen.phones appears ok just the white screen.

Hi, i have this problem at the minute, but i repair iphones, so luckily i have a working lcd.

The lcd that was lighting up just white, is actually infact faulty, i know this as ive tried that lcd in a couple of 3gs's and also tried a working lcd in the same phones.

I would get onto the person you bought it off and ask for a replacement.

Please note, do NOT change the lcd whilst the phone is switched on, make sure you switch the phone off otherwise you could blow the backlight (6r8).

And the reset is home button and power button for 10 seconds, never heard of the volume up button way before.

I have had the white screen in the past and done a reset and it worked fine after that.

Hope you manage to sort it out, but try the reset before contacting the seller.

had an ipod that done this.
i let the battery totally die and once powered up it worked ok again.

i have tried everything now starting to give up .
i have 2 3gs both are faulty i have tried both of the screens .it would be a bit weird if both screens were faulty.

i might take a gamble and order another screen.
done 4-5 i phone screens without any problems apart from this one.
