Typical, something breaks as we're about to sell it.

The passenger side front electric window just died on my girlfriends rover 25, took to the garage and found a part sheered off and will cost £115 to replace, less if he can weld it back on. My question is will it fail a MOT? (which is due in 2 weeks)
