Regarding Boas I've seen this floating around the web today...
My Opinion on this if this is the case of Boas, he's just shooting himself in the foot, dictating and throwing his dummy out the pram because he's probably already held talks with Danny Boy and doesn't like that Spurs are looking for other suitors for there own best interest and this wouldn't go down to well with the chairman if this is true, RED FLAG! And as Harry found out, no Manager id bigger then the club!Andre Villas Boas has threatened to walk away from negotiations with Tottenham over their vacant managerial position, according to The Guardian.
The ex-Chelsea trainer has emerged as a major candidate to replace Harry Redknapp in the White Hart Lane hotseat, as the north London club eye a youthful, enthusiastic manager.
However, it is believed that the Portuguese trainer is ready to walk away from the talks, as Spurs continue to court other potential candidates also.
The likes of Roberto Martinez and Laurent Blanc are still thought to be in the running for the post also, which has frustrated Villas Boas and give him mixed signals.
Villas Boas is also keen to confirm where Luka Modric‘s future lies, as continued rumours over a move to Spain for the Croatian playmaker continue.
Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell his star man to Premier League rivals, but with Real Madrid thought to be ready to table a bid now that Modric’s Euro 2012 campaign is over, Villas Boas sees the player’s sale as a negative step.
What an arrogant prick if he thinks a position like that is going to be filled without checking other candidates. Looks like Mourinho really did teach him all he knows. I've never met a Portuguese person but if those two, Ronaldo, and Nani are anything to go by then you couldn't fit too many of them in a room with ego's that big!
I wasn't that keen on him anyway but if that's any indication of his behaviour to come then sorry AVB, don't let the door hit your big head on the way out.... next.
He's a nice guy but even with a bit of money (which I don't think he'll get) I can't help but think he's not good enough to challenge for CL on a regular basis.
4th, 5th, 4th shows we've got the players (if we can keep them) and add a few. We just need someone with the ability to rotate or jiggle what's needed to get the best out of them for the whole season and cup competitions. That's skill the likes of Ferguson has mastered over the years. I'm not sure any of the names floating about are high calibre enough. If I had to pick I'd probably give Blanc a pop at it depending on how France pan out in the rest of the Euros.
Tottenham Hotspur?? only elite teams are allowed there own threads...oh and billionairre ones!
seriously though i don't think moyes will do it for you and thats a backward step from Sir Harry.
i like spurs though, they were a great team to watch under HR
Moyes has been thought of as an Sir Alex Ferguson successor at United, I'm not too keen on Blanc, been reports that he's had a bust up in the French dressing room and you don't really need that, all though it's just all speculation, plus he's never managed any team in the Premiership. On the other hand you have Martin O'neil I like him, he get's his Team playing as a team and showed at Villa that he doesn't want to sell his clubs best players that's why he walked out when villa sold milner.
What we do need though is someone that rotates the squad and isn't afraid to drop the likes of bale when he's playing a bad game, because from my eyes he had a few last session, losing the ball then not tracking back to help defend. A game or two on the bench would of said look here sunny, you have to track back too and not be so damn greedy at times, Harry didn't do that once.
Personally I think Spurs wanted Brendan Rogers, but that's gone all tits up now, and Spurs are left pissing in the wind!
Spurs closing on Villas-Boas, he'll be a good manager given time.
