He is a manager that can get you near champions league football... I am sure many will be after him!
He finished - cant remember first season/4/5/4
And he brought in all the best players they have!
I guess it all hangs on there next manager, moyes, martinez, moriniho, GARDIOLA???
All would be decent but the last 2 would really take Tottenham to the next level!!!
Mick
I did enjoy reading this lol.
Harry Redknapp’s Brilliant Legacy
It’s been an up and down career for H Redknapp Esq. Mostly down once he legs it, to be fair. The man truthfully has no equal in English football.
1983–1992 – Harry Redknapp manages Bournemouth
2002 – Bournemouth relegated
2008 – Bournemouth in administration , docked points and relegated
1994–2001 – Harry Redknapp manages West Ham United
2003 – West Ham relegated
2009 – West Ham relegated
2010 – West Ham saved from bankruptcy by £100m bailout by new owners
2002–2004 and 2005-2008 – Harry Redknapp manages Portsmouth
2009 – Portsmouth delay payment of players’ wages three times in four months
2010 – Portsmouth become first PL club to go into administration, making 85 people redundant; relegation follows
2011 – New owners take over and last 4 months before going into administration themselves
2012 – Portsmouth into administration for the second time
2004–2005 – Harry Redknapp manages Southampton
2005 – unusually, Southampton relegated BEFORE Redknapp walks out
2008 – Southampton players have to be sold to avoid administration
2009 – the old familiar tale: Southampton go into administration and are relegated (again).
2008–2012 – Harry Redknapp manages Tottenham Hotspur
2013 – ??? (fingers crossed)
Harry put his own foot in this own mouth, first of all he's got to much of a mouth, Danny boy don't say to much to the press, but Harry always says something, now it's good to be truthful, but when your in that line of work and you've got a chairman like that don't you think it's a good idea to follow suit.
Second, Spurs stuck by him thick and thin through his court case, although Harry gave credit for the support of the club Duran the case, the whole case doesn't say to many great things about Harry, Spurs showed that there looking after there own, then Harry gets offered a new contract by spurs and because of the England Job Harry turns it down, Now if I was the chairman I would be thinking as I suspect Danny boy was, that Harry is not as dedicated to the club as you would like him to be, now Harry didn't get the England Job he throws his toys out the pram about getting a new contract, personally the way Harry went about it, showed no Respect to the club, all Harry was doing was looking out for his own best interests. Many little red flags, come to attention here.
As far as footballing reasons, he let a 14 point gap go between Arsenal, this all started from around the time Capello, left the England Job, I could have seriously imagined Harry sitting at Home in his arm chair given all the hype and the backing he was getting for the England job, nights in his arm chair going by day dreaming or putting to much attention if you like, on something other then his role at spurs.
We can counter that he has done well at spurs, and at the time he was the right man for the Job but just watching the games myself as a Spurs fan, sometimes you would scratch your head and ask yourself why is he making that Sub. For Example one game we needed a win, instead of putting on a striker he brings on a holding player. Plus he plays favoritism, instead of rotating the squad to suit the opposition.
England didn't want Harry for the Manger Job in my opinion is because, Harry has too much baggie with out going into to much reason, and he'll play favoritism and will continue to play the older players, instead of rotating the squad.
I bet deep down he's as sick as a parrot, not so long ago he probably believed it might be possible to get the England Job, but if that doesn't happen hill still have spurs, I truly believe he didn't see the sacking at Spurs coming, but Danny Boy is no mug!!!
I could go on into even more detail but that's just the gist of it, in my opinion.
See this and thought this was funny a conversation between Hudgson and Harry LOL
