Hi M8's don't know if anyone can help here but I have a strange one (computer problem I mean!)

I act as a webmaster for a voluntary association and their web site is at Welcome the problemis is this.

The Dutch agent (not related I mean the Netherlands) reports not being able to load the website her message to me is below, forgive her English she does not have a great command of the written word but then again I cannot speak or write any Dutch.

Thank so much you will help me. I find it very difficult to explain you what I see when I open my site of the EAC.
That is the reason I answer not immediatly. But since one week I have a problem with my mobile phone. The effect seems in the effect the same as what happens with opening the EAC site.
At this moment is it the same as it was 2 weeks ago. When I open my EAC site than is the line with the green buttons clear. No picture of Jenny is there . When I touch a button it try to open and immediatly close the button and the green line is there again. It look like there is block or in my computer or anywhere/ I don’t know and I don’t know to handle.

At this moment I have a mobile phoen problem. Total different from a computerproblem. But what happens seems me I can compare.
It is with the mobile phone of Meine and my mobile phone. When I ring to Meine I hear one time his ring tone on my phone and it stops a second later. Connection broken.

No connection more. Meine can ring me well. I went to the phone shop with my phone problem. Luckely I had my phone with me and I show the boy what happens. He sees what happens and he understands what I try to tell him. He try to find the solution but at this moment he didn’t find. He was not a stupid boy who helps me. Perhaps there is somewhere something what blocks the the connection or in Meine’s phone or with the server or what ever is what he tell me after connection he made with other ‘experts’ . But untill now the problem is there.
What happens with the connection with my mobile phone and Meines’ mobile seems the same as what happens with the site of the EAC when I try to make connection

I can make connection with the EAC site but when I start to use the site by touching on the buttons’ it stops. Grazy but is is reality for me

I think she is using an Apple Mac.

Has anyone any ideas what may be causing this and a solution perhaps also.

Difficult to say M8, all I can tell you is it's built in Joomla! 1.5, the template appears to be compatible and the content is there but not being rendered - I can't see anything on the site.

If I had the problem I'd drop down to the default template and see if the content re-appeared. If it did, re-install the template the site is currently using. That said, I can see PHP changes too, so the underlying code may have been significantly modified.

You'll need a developer to go through it I reckon...

Are you using a MAC when you give this analysis as using a cross section of PC's I see no problem with the site all content appears normally. I know it is Joomla which I am not happy with I inherited this and want to change across to Wordpress or a straight html site. The template and coding is held by an outside company and they do not give access to any coding I cannot even upgrade this version of Joomla unless we pay them a small fortune, hence the reason for wanting to change.

One of the directors uses a MAC and can access the web site OK although I have not tried her laptop lately, unfortunately I do not know anyone else with a MAC to try it which is why I turned to the forum for help.

The site was a mess when I took it over but I have only worked within the constraints of the template and joomla to add content and move things around.

No work on my iPad or Linux but the content shows on XP with IE - that's not good
