    Work!

Currently i work 10-8 Tue-Fri, 12-8 Mon-Fri then 12-8Tue-Fri 9-3 Sat. ive been on bak shift for 3 years. I have the chance to get 9-5 mon-fri with the same amount of Saturdays.

The problem is i manage 11 people most of them i get on pretty well with, the other team have issues some issues and i dont get on with them as well. Do you stick with the team or take a great shift with a faily bad team.

    Re: Work!

All I can say is you are a long time at work so if you have a good bunch perhaps you should stick with those you know. On the other hand, if it gives you a better family life, maybe you should change. Sure as eggs are eggs, if you stay the chances are pretty high your team will change around you anyway!

I bet that has really helped hasn't it?

    Re: Work!

Only move if the result is better...end of.

Question. Why is your current situation so bad? Can you change the other team thus making your situation better?

No point jumping from one crock of sh1t to another unless you gain something

    Re: Work!

    its a very tough choice

For me working with a good team always trumps it. It just makes your day go so fast and stops you from bringing any work issues home.

Reading your post it seems like the other team isn't that bad. They have some issues but nothing serious.
If that is the case then i would switch as 9-5 is a cracking shift. You will have so much time on your hand in the evenings.

Bear in mind it is always hard to move away from a really good team - you can always mould the new team in your style

    Re: Work!

well made the change going from a team of 10 to a team of 14 so a bit more work, my old team were gutted but did get me a crate of peroni as a goodbye gift. Feel like changing my name to Dolly parton 9-5, start Monday then to the gym in the house for 7 rather than 10. Pity the new team are all middle aged parents with the weight of the world the old team were mostly students working 4-8 9 girls one guy and great fun. The grass isnt always greener . . .lets find out

    Re: Work!

good luck mate. it could seem like the other team is not as much fun because you haven`t worked with them . and it is a much better shift pattern.
