2 Sat (HD) Channels lost during day

A general query really. Related to SkyTV NZ but all the same stuff at the end of the day.

Sky Sports 3 and ESPN HD both don't clear during the day. I get an error about atmospherics, which is basically saying the signal is too low.
Now, no other channels are affected just those 2.
The mysterious thing is, early morning and late at night the 2 channels work??? clear all OK. As the day progresses they start to break up and then fail to display.

The sat dish is on top of a apartment block 10 stories high? Can't put it on what might be the cause.

Anyone have an general advice/comments as to what it could be?

    cheers

Hi mate not been familar with new zealand sky but have you been able to receive this before without any problems?

There is a few channels here in the uk on certain sat which i can only receive when it is night time due to atmospherics. It does not matter how high the sat dish because it will receive it 1 foot of the ground or 50 feet of the ground aslong as there is LINE OF SIGHT.

Always been an issue when subscribing to the HD package.
If I get that removed the channel goes back to the SD one and works a treat everytime.

    Yeah, diff box.
Can't imagine alignment. This dish serves loads of peoples apartments.
I wonder if its an issue with any amplification hardware. Looking at it now the signal (and picture) are great.

Aghhh sounds like it could be an issue with the equipement. Can other people in your block watch the hd channel.

Well yes, possibly. Don't know anyone else who has Sky in the Apt block.
What is crazy strange, working all OK this morning. Now weather wise, a little overcast today unlike yesterday that was bright sunshine???

Hey, thanks for replying... appreciate its a NZ Sat system! Thanks for throwing some ideas out.
