as said when i moved in here i am a complete greeny in terms of messing about with receiver hardware, so the question is..is it possible to overclock the cpu? what are the advantages/disadvantages in the process

processor in the box is an STB x25xx, 252mhz

Thanks for link...i saw this thread before i posted. the user done a physical CPU upgrade, a remarkable job. not exactly what i have in mind. i was thinking more of a simple clocking, as similarly done on PC's
plus no way am i going that far on costings
