I'm looking for a printer that does cheap inks as all i do is print off invoice stuff for work

I mistakingly bought a canon mp270 for £25 quid brand new but the the inks alone are £20 each so it would effectivly be cheaper to throw the printer away and buy a new canon when the inks have run out

So i'm looking for the cheapest inks, if anyone has advice on this would be great, so i want to get rid of the canon and opt for a better printer for my money

what about this one the compatible inks are about £1 -£1.25

If all you print is invoices why not go for a laser?

Some cannon printers are cheap, the inks for my old Ip4500 are 57p for each colour.

But my samsung clx2160 colour laser is even cheaper to run, I pay £18 for a full set of toners and get 1500 sheets out of the colours and 2500 from the black.

A mono laser would be even cheaper to run. The only thing is that you need to get one where the drum is not attached to the toner because the drum mechanism is often copyrighted and peeps cannot make cheap copies (much the same as HP or Lexmark inkjets where the print head is attached to the cartridge).

You could refill your own carts and save money, inks.co.uk have black kits for £1.87 which would refill approx 11 cartirdges, and colour kits for the same price

If you're happy with b&w then an old HP laser - 4050/4100/4200 etc will be fine. You can pick up a decent refurb for about £50, the cartridges cost about £25 and do 8000-10000 pages
