Which one to choose DM800 SE Clone

Hello I am new to linux boxes
Please let me know which one to choose from as there is many different versions in well known chineese shop
Some I've noticed have got flash button but some dont, whats the difference.
I'd rather get one with the logo.

dreambox 800se has internal fan that keeps it cool
theres no need for external.
as for what one ,ide ask for branded dreambox not sunray(although both same internaly)
later versions have an usb at the front of box also.

Mini flashup doesnt currenty do anything so theres no real benefit from buying a version with the mini-flashup button. Although the variants with mini-flashup do have a front USB as well. All the newer SIM 2.1 800SE clones probably all have Mini-Flashup with fron USB Rev D6 boards.

I think I will go for this one "New! 800se with wifi , D6 version with logo " what do you think? Wifi as my current box is connected to access point so wifi box would save some electricity and space.

im only a month in to my 800se clone, but one thing i would DEF reccomend is the mini flash up button..

when you are frantically flashing image after image (which you WILL do) you will at some point end up with the NO CA error... if you have a 800se , there s no serial port only mini usb , so connecting to fix the error can be a real faf...
now you will be glad u got a mini flash up button.... power off box , hold mini flash button , power up whilst holding down flash button until you get your stop message and ip of the box... go to box ip in browser , u now have a slightly different flash screen , easy and a real stress saver if u know how it works... well worth it.
sunray boxes are now getting images released just for them including support for wifi and triple tuner...
i just have a DM branded 800se clone , but its amazing what it can do...
just get one ordered and start playing...
go for extra front usb and mini flash up button , actual branding makes no difference as they are all basically sunray.

Hi, mini flash is one hell of a feature, no need to use dreamup / mini usb, dont even need to move box, just hold mini flash button and repower, will get IP address again, and can flash again, seems like its got inbuilt backup bootloader incase you mess it up with na ca error. such a great feature

you can get the one with built in wifi not much at all, and its n and 300m, dont think genuine even had builtin wireless ?? these china suppliers just make it better and better, now would love a dual dvbs tuner on it

just looked at my box had for just over a week never looked at the flash up button before and it has one (need to find out how it works next) just incase a sausage fingered norfolk numpty like me cocks up in the future lol

it all depends on what shipping is offered
mine was free sent via china post took about 3 weeks and i had no custom charges but not allways the case they tend to mark as a lower price incase you get the 20% charge for v.a.t
i had a 500s sent via dhl a few years back took a week and i got over £12 charges for a £35 clone they charged v,at on the full price as the invoice inside was for the right amount of money allthough the lable stated something like $25 sample and they also charged me for the privalidge of unwrapping and repacking handling charges thought the box might have got the rubber glove treament as well lol
its the luck of the drawer sometimes but be prepaired for charges which ever method is used carrier is quicker like dhl ems etc and is trackable china post is longer and you can not track it but still have to sighn for it and still has to go through customs
the pain is if it is d.o.a like said 500s clone was and it cost me over £20 to return before money was refunded on chineese site as had to provide proof of postage so i paid £32 for nothing swore would never go this way again but the lure of the 800se drew me back and so far all is good with it

Could u please PM me where u got ure 800se from, as from the shop I was going to buy it would cost me including postage approx £170 (china post isn't free).

Box have just arrived and first problem occured. There is no response to the remote what so ever. Only when I press some of the buttons some of them luminate red thats all. Any ideas? Checked with different batteries.

Had a similar problem, but my remote didn't even illuminate. Had to get a new remote from the supplier

Can you test with another dreambox remote?

I have a spare remote I may be willing to sell

I have found that I need to program it first but struggling to find codes to do it.

You will only need to program it to use it as a TV remote, it should work on the Dreambox automatically when the Dream button is pressed

As said m8 press the dream button first and then it should work

I did press it but no response. Just after restart I am getting TUNE or TUNING failed message on the screen.
Overall not great impression build quality etc. Not the best start.

Got the problem with the remote sorted. IR sensor was facing up so I bent it down a touch. Also tape wasn't pushed in all the way to the bottom. Also got wifi up and running after few problems. Now could somebody please tell me how to start newcamd so I could watch non FTA channels? I flashed the box with the latest bootloader 84b and openPLI image. I am getting no sound on any FTA channels. When I go to download plugins all seems to go well but when I go to see these plugins they are not there. Only 5 plugins that came with the image. Perhaps I am doing something wrong but I am a total noob. Sorry

afterall I finally got it working now. Only issue I have with it is the buzzing noise that it makes until the channel is loaded then it's quiet and it's not the fan. Are yours the same?
