i think he made a good decision to quit coz the FA should have consulted him before stripping JT from captaincy

scary thing for me is if you get a decent manager you have the players to do something Martin O, or Jose or harry could deffo win you the tournie so im hoping that you go for someone like allerdyce! :-)
on a serious note whats the views down there on next boss? knowing the FA reluctance to go for a strong willed manager im guessing someone like platt or pearce?

Pull up his tournament stats where it matters.
Wins against Angola in the endless friendlies played today are included in that win ratio

All seems a bit fishy to me... Redknapp escapes from his tax evasion charges ... again... Same day Capello magically resigns. I doubt he would have resigned if Redknapp had been found guilty.. All a bit too convenient.
It's not the managers it's the England team, theyre under performing, badly disciplined and have a prima donna attitude. Capellos record speaks for itself he's been succesful wherever he's been...even with the England team have you ever seen them qualify so convincingly for a world ranking tournament ?
Ok, they flopped when they got there but thats typical England, over rated... Quite simply England are not world class, theyre just not good enough. Havent got the bottle or pride to play for the shirt when the chips are down. Too preoccupied with WAGS and drinking sessions...

Re: Capello quits as England manager
Capello forced this issue himself by re-appointing Terry in the first place, imagine (obviously in some parallel Universe) England go on to win this tournament with Terry as captain and he is then subsequently found guilty of racism ! Not really a risk the FA would be willing to take, the FA can then look to themselves during this debacle for renewing Capello's contract after that disastrous World cup. It was clear then to anyone that he was not the man for the job, although his record may well tell a different story based against past managers we should remember the group of players available to him (*on paper) should be doing very well indeed.
Onward to a new manager and I personally feel that Redknapp is not the man for the job and although I would prefer an Englishman at the helm there are just better foreign options available. Hiddink would be my first and Martin O well up there in the pecking order, I am not saying arry is a bad manager because I think he is doing brilliantly but he seems more of a one of the lads manager and with the current crop of ego's it could spell disaster.
Either way we will be overrated
