Hi, i have Dreamelite 1.3.3 pheonix image on Dm800, i always get epg from Rytec_uk working fine, but stopped working when site went down,

so site back on so tried again, i use http://www.vuplus-community.net/rytec/uk/epg.dat.gz thats in my Bhepgproviders.cfg , it starts to download , says complete but get no epg,

anyone know whats happening ?

I know about crossepg and using usb stick, just wondering if the other inbuilt into blackhole image for epg still working ??

I would advise to install crossepg and set to download on opentv 28.2 setting. Rytec is offline numerous times over the year which casues my ears misery from the wife!

Yup,I agree with that Rytec is a great plugin and it's free but it has a habit of going offline frequently, or certain sources stop working etc... Switch to OpenTV so it pulls the EPG down by switching to a radio channel and using the sat stream itself, not dependant on servers out on the internet.

I use xmltv-rytec and have never had any problems, yes it can be down sometimes but it does download more than a days (doesn't it, I'm sure it does) therefore the fact that it didn't download on that day has never affected me.

Hi, its back on today its not the xmltv-rytec, but the epg.dat.gz from here http://www.vuplus-community.net/rytec/uk/epg.dat.gz . one which blackhole inbuilt epg can use to display epg, the xml dont work needs to be epg.dat.gz , there must be backup sources that are also epg.dat.gz for sly uk incase one goes down ?? cant be just http://www.vuplus-community.net/rytec/uk/epg.dat.gz.

ya i know cross epg is much better , when getting from dish so never goes down
