is it possible to watch movies streamed from pc to this box like you can on the dm500s??

unfortunately unlike dreamboxes where you can tinker add plugins and fiddle to your hearts content these and many other boxes like these are closed linux
therefore you can not stream to the box from pc or from box to pc via web interface .
you can play some video and audio files by popping on usb stick or usb hard drive and playing them that way but not all audio and video formats are supported ,
as for epg it shows now and next the same as loads of other sat boxes out there and depending on data streams you can get more info from diff sat providers other than uk example being 19.2e loads of channels you can get about 3 days worth
but all in all a cracking box for the price if you just want to stick it under the telly and watch tv
if you fancy a tinker and what extra then you need to spend a bit extra and get an hd dreambox or similar

have the usual problem of no sound on some hd channels *dolby digital ac3 i think.

my tv is a 32" toshiba so should be able to play sound in ac3 format via hdmi

tried different images, different settings , think common problem unless anyone knows fix.

Just been reading, apparently the x403p is the same as the mini s9 openbox, does this mean the firmware for an s9 would work on the x403p??
