I just want to warn everyone that I have just discovered that the latest patched firmware (05-10-11-7ex) for the Blade Media BM7000S completely buggers up the blind scan mode!!

My box now strangely reports finding many of the channels twice whilst blind scanning, it appears to be finding many of the transponders for a second time during the scan process, but on the wrong frequencies!!?? As a result, this means that many of the channels are now listed twice in the channel guide/on the EPG, with one of each duplicate not working. I've also found that blind scanning takes a lot longer than before and does not pick everything up! Some of the channel names are also messed up and display as "TV 1 - 1xxxxV ASTRA" for example, instead of the proper channel names.

If I revert back to the previous firmware I was using (1.22p), no problems whatsoever. Whether this is just an issue with the patched firmware, I don't know, but I would stear clear of upgrading until this problem is sorted out.

im using the latest firmware and im not having the problems you speak of......

did you remember to factory reset before you loaded the newest fw.... just a thought mate...

Thanks for your help. I didn't do a factory reset earlier, but I have just done that as well as reloading the firmware and the problem still persists. With a blank canvas, I scanned in 1W and as before, it appears to find a lot of the channels twice over during scanning and many channels it doesn't even find at all as if the channels were not even on the sats! I'm using diseqc 1.1 with several fixed LNBs.

Definitely a problem with 05-10-11-7ex and it also affects the official 05-10-11-7e as well. As stated before, I previously used 1.22p and had no issues blind scanning, I've now just installed 06-09-11-7dx (previous patched version) and no problems with that either.

Thinking it was a problem with 7ex, earlier this evening I did a reset and installed 7e from the Blade Media web site and it's happening with that as well. The box is scanning in many of the transponders/channels twice, duplicating them on the wrong frequencies and a lot channels are not even picked up at all!

7e/7ex is botched. Very surprised no-one else has commented about this. I will be sticking with 7dx for now.
