There has been a serious lack of new games due to them requiring the latest firmware. But just to let you know that 2 of the best games ever released for ps2, ico and shadow of the colossus, work on custom firmware. They have been released in hd and 3d for the ps3. Available in all the usual places

I've been playing them for a few days, absolutely fantastic.

Great to have a machine that is capable of handling Colossus, the game was ahead of it's time on the PS2.

ICO is also fantastic, one of the first games I played on my PS2 and an absolute classic.

We need new ps3 games to work with CFW! The scene is literally dead!

I dont think we'll see a new CFW anytime soon. A spanish crew were supposed to be releasing a new one called JFW, but they posponed it saying they are working on getting £.70+ games working. But 90% of the proper scene are saying it's bogus and they "postponed" it because it was crap and very unfinished and they have no way of running 3.55+ games.

I think the only thing we can look forward to are more cracked PSN games like the load thats just been released. And be thankful for playing the all "FREE" games that we can.

theres lots happening in the ps3 scene matey, just no way to play pirated games that require 3.6+ but theres still plenty of homebrew going on! you can now play ps1 games convert any dos game to play on ps3 play psp games aswell as psn games!

Jamesy, it's not about playing copy's of games,it's about being able to play new game's on your cfw. I for one, think there will never be a new cfw, it's just to much of a risk to get sued by sony. And with the breach as well ,which for whatever reason it was for,only really affected people like you and me it's just to hot!! I don't see any real good homebrew on the ps3 scence except for the lastest muiliman update's. the people on them site's are for the most part total w*****s as well. I know it's nice for some people to play ps1 game's but i done that years ago on my ps1! Rant over

yes, i can see your point, the only thing you could do is buy one of those chips that allows you to dual boot? but who knows, in time sony will probably kill that and stop it working on the latest firmwares lol
