DM800HD - Sim A2P

I have finally got around to to tinkering with a DM800 I bought for a steal off fleabay. I went to change the image and got an error message on restart on thge front screen which saif Sim 2.xxx not found. Opened her up and found the Sim inside to be one I do not recognise at all. It Looks standard but has the writing 'Dreambox Security SIM A2P' on it.
Anyone have an idea what is is??

Just realised it's a Sim 1.0 i think, the only Sim 1.0's I have seen before were all white so this one threw me!! Can't be arsed looking out older images so will look to upgrade the Sim to a 2.01.

Is it possible that you have an original and not a clone?

Too late, I tried to put a SIM 2.01 BL82 image onto it and it aint happy now!! lol

Confident its a clone box and I have managed to put an older pheonix image on for BL70 so all good again ....... phew!!! lol

if the print on the sim is black it is an original dream multimedia sim card. If it is grey I think you will find it is a T1 sim1 and I beleive would be upgradable to a ferrari sim

that sim is a dreambox genuine sim
and i have a simular thing as this i got two
knackered boxes one original one a clone i opened
them and found the original had burns on the mainboard
and the only power is at led light the ethernet port
so i used the mainboad from the clone it says on it REV L
i used the tuner and the sim from the original and on powering up
the box came to life, and it had error1 no ca, but a patched dream up
and a clone image i loaded the image via the null modem and the box
works, but iv'e found on on images sim 2.0.1 all ss72 for sim 1 69-70-72
i dont know if the original sim can hande images for sim 2 ssl82 etc
annd sim201 ss82 wont flash they al give the error 1 no ca
i also have a ferrai sim from the clone and hope that gives a better choice
of images but i guess like others i thought a genuine sim would allow genuine
images to be flashed, but it looks like it cant handle the bootloader above 75
also if any users of the ferrari sims can post what images can be used i would be
gratefull it will save a lot of tests and cables out,lol
