    Thumbs up Cctv

    HI peeps,

Need to set up a CCTV system at home, I am looking at a system from maplin... namely this one > 500GB 8 Channel H.264 Network DVR with 4x CCD Cameras and Smart Phone Access Free Delivery : Complete CCTV Kits : Maplin

    For £299

I need 1x camera out the back garden to watch shed and kids in the pool... and 2x front on a V axis if that makes sense ? and maybe one watching the internal of the front door.

Does this seem like the best deal out there ?

I can post in public areas why I need this config but lets just say Ive no doubt I will have to rely on it in the future.

    TIA

    Re: Cctv

Ive used these DVR's before and are pretty good, plus the bounes is they have there own dns...

I'd probably opt for dome cameras than the ones advertised, sometimes that type get condensation inside and can take a while too clear up.....

    Re: Cctv

rs.. i set a similar system up for someone using mapin gear. not a bad picture quality at all and handy to have.

only thing is the mobile viewing can be a bit iffy but they do work well and does what it says on the tin.

only thing is no audio unless you fit an external mic.. thats if you require audio..
