I bought a dbox2 (nokia) in 05 because my daughter wanted mtv.
since then have owned
dbox2 (sagem which inho was far superior to the nokia version)
dm500 c (original)
dbox2 sat (nokia)
dm500 s (original)
dm500 s (clone)
and now a tm800
I'm currently looking at a dm800 but I am waiting for the dm800se
I compiled a dm800 pli 2.2 image a few days ago and am compiling a dm800se at the moment but no way to test yet
Also need to learn how to make them clone compatible, I have found the file to make the vlc compatible but don't know how to get the bootloaders, will look more when/if I put my hand in my pocket and buy a dm800se

I originally bought a DM500C in the Nagra 1 days....when modshack was still around.... Modded Paces, cutting talkback, samsunhgs, funcards, Atmega, Titanium cards were getting boring... Moved to sat when rumours of N3 came about and the SLY hlaf price deal was on...

Now have owned and still own most of the following;

- DM500C
- DM500S (V8 Clones)
- DM600S
- DM800HD

@Ellie do a google on DreamOEM, thats the best source for info and patched images, bootloaders, patched drivers etc... RamiMaher and MFaraj are the mods there, these two are probably the most active at patching the actual drivers and image patching, and compiling images/making them clone compatible maybe be able to get some pointers of them.
