Hi all

Im having a problem with my DM800 (clone) or my new 3d tv,

All was working for the first 3 weeks i had the tv lg950 (dm is about 6 months)

Problem is i loose all sound to the tv from the DM when TV is left in standby, normally over night. Other stuff like DVD still work.

I have tried pli, nemesis, gecko, gp3 , basically all images on the DM to no avail, but it worked for 3 weeks.

I have phoned LG and got the same old story, hdmi dosent support sound , even though it had for the last 3 weeks lol.

so i use the hmdi to dvi cable supplied, and i can get sound if i take out the hdmi plug from the DM and put it back, samewith the dvi to TV.

also tried all combination of AC3 settings on the DM even tried changing DVI SCART on the box, all to no avail.

is this a tv problem, my 28 days is up saturday for replacement set ? or i may just look at the DM800se with DVI

anyone have any suggestions ?

What type of clone have you got ? A SIM 2.01 based PRO model rev M ? Or Ferarri, ESTAR SIM ? Sounds like either a HDMI issue between TV and reciever or a driver issue. Make sure your using the latest patched drivers and SSL bootloader for your reciver.

If it's SIM 2.01 try the PLI image I posted in the downlaods section here, it's the gijstroom clean image compiled from source 20/06 with built in SSL82 and latest patched drivers.

Have a read around some other forums, this may well be a driver issue, I think newer offiical Dream drivers fixed this issue, but they havent been patched yet for use on clones... Or could always try DVI to HDMI convertor and a normal HDMI lead to rule out any cable issues.

Its the sim 2.01 and i gave him the url to the PLi i other day but if he tried i i dunno lmao

There is a synchronisation problem with the sound and the picture when viewing an HD Channel (PS3 HD; Freesat HD; Sky HD set top boxes)

Most LG HDMI ports do not support the DTS HD signal, so please change the audio settings on your set top box to either PCM or AC3

but Ac3 you have tried so im starting to think more like the tv

as JA5 said its a 2.01 ssl #82 the strange thig is its been working for a few weeks.

i have a pli image on at the moment that im sure i had when we first got the tv, and it still does the same.

Thanks gsmtech i will try the new pli image later, wifeee will kill me if i break the box before the tennis finishes lol

I have ordered a spdif lead and hope that will sort this problem out once and for all.

ps i have checked LG site and im on the latest firmware, maybe a fix is round the corner

Thanks gsmtech and Ja5 put the latest compile of pli on and the sound was working this morning.

Strange that the pli image i had on from may would not work, but it used to. Ah well looks like no updating for me for a while

LOL if i listened to all your advice i probably wouldnt have a wife now

yea car still to do, and blu-ray should be here mon/tues. and my refund had better be in my bank by tuesday as well or else

TV switched on again a couple of times since, so it had something to do with the DM800 image(s)
