Alright guys,

As some of you might know i have just made a new build computer.

Well the problem im having is, I have just installed a new Graphics card witch is Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX and everytime i start the computer i get a warning box come up saying "The AMD VISION Engine Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your AMD graphics driver, or enable your AMD Adapter using the Displays Manger."

How can i stop this?

I think its something to do with the onboard graphics....?

Thanks

try this.. it might work....

go into the bios and disable onboard graphics....... by pressing your F2 key on start up...

Thanks for the reply but that hasnt worked... i still get the little warning box on start up....

Ummm i cant find it in the list.... i have clicked show hidden devices aswell... strange

uninstall the amd/ati software from 'programs&features' in control panel (depending on your windows version), also check in services.msc and msconfig (both from run command) for any amd/ati startup programs/services and disable them.

also as ratts said make ure onboard GFX is disabled in BIOS.

one other thing i can suggest is see if the amd vision control centre program is in your programs list and uninstall it.....

Try and install the drivers for the motherboard under XP SP3 compatibility mode, just right click on the driver and select XP SP3 compatability mode worth a go.

Also if it don't work what is the os/motherboard your using?

Cheers....

It sounds like either the chipset drivers have included AMD Vision Engine Control Centre for the onboard Radeon HD 4250, or Win 7 has installed it via Windows Update. As you do not need AMD Vistion Engine Control Centre when running a discrete nVidia GPU - i.e. your 8800GTX - uninstall it via Control Panel.

If Win 7 keeps reinstalling VECC; normally you'd just disable the onboard GPU in Device Manager: [winkey]+[R] > devmgmt.msc > Display Adapters. However, as you've said that it doesn't appear here, you might have to turn off Win 7's Automatic Driver Update:

Start > gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Installation. Click on the subfolder Device Installation on the left and on the right side you will see the possible restrictions. Right Click on Prevent Installation of Devices not described by other policy settings and edit this option, set it on enabled.
