I have a 1.6i X reg 206 R/Garros,

filled up today at a bp and about 20 miles after filling up the light came on, apart from a slight lumpy idle there is no power loss.

could it just be it needs a service i know that light can have more then one meaning, i have checked all the fluid levels, no leaks etc

please help!

there is no way to tell just by looking at it why the light has come on there are so many Senses that the ECU checks when it first power on that it would be impossible to find out what it is

best bet plug a diagnostic machine into it and read the error codes

Was your car running ok before you put fuel in? if it was after that then it could be that you may have bought a bad batch of fuel.or you may have put super unleaded in rather than the normal.This can cause engine management problems.

it was bp regular unleaded, i thought this as well but it wasn't supermarket petrol

best idea is to get codes read and come back with that info
inc engine code and ecu type if possible
