When you buy new VU+ SOLO or Duo. Do they come with image installed?

They come with the manufacturers image installed. Very easy to re-flash a new one though via usb stick

Very easy to flash, just download latest flash extract to usb stick, plug in front and turn on. Dont forget to do online updates after. Thinks theres about 21 extra updates.

Before you put on another image, you may want to set/change the ftp password.
I think there is an option some where on the original image to do this.

which image would you recomend ? i heard they had problems with the latest vix image ?

the only image iv tried is the vix image having just bought my vu last week, but out of the box i had everything running flawlessly withing an hour, and its continued this way since iv installed the image, really great!

try blackhole image....

have yo tried both mate, would you recomend blackhole over vix!

I have to admit I have only tried vix image, did have a problem with recording the cricket the other day as it said it run out of time or something but other than that its pretty bang on...
