iPhone 1004 unknown error!!!

Hi

Could someone with experience please help me out here. I must have spent 30 hours trying to sort my Iphone 4 out.

I am getting to the final stage of restore on my Iphone on itunes before it comes with 1004 error message. How can this be resolved.

I am trying to restore the phone and currently it is in recovery mode when you start in I tunes. I would like to put on firmware 4.0.1 which I have. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I had exactly the same problem with a friends 3gs last weekend
ireb would help...i tried everything

in the end i had to bite the bullet and update it to 4.3 through itunes and tell her a jailbreak would be available soon for 4.3.1

I have just gone and completely messed my iphone even i tunes wont even recognise it now. Can anything be done to do a complete reset and just upgrade firmware

try holding the home and power buttons for 10 seconds while connected to the pc and see if itunes see's it in recovery mode

Hi Mate is your iphone still saying error 1004 , have a look HERE see if that helps you
kick your self out of recovery mode the link will show you how to use tinyumbrella to help resovle your issue
