Hi Guys

We just got first blu-ray disk (cutting edge here) the mrs pc has a blu ray player and i wanted to have a lpok to see what the fuss is about.

The pc has win7 ultimate with media centre loaded and after 10 minutes on the net I found that win7 doesn't support blu-ray..oh well.

So I thought I would ask what 3rd party software folk use ?

I have the very latest VLC on the pc and was most surprised that it doesn't play these disks.

Any suggestions ?

PowerDVD from CyberLink. Careful which version you get as only "Ultra" supports BD playback.

up and running :-) got to admit bluray does look good.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro and Splayer to play blu-ray films. I don't bother with the menus I just play the biggest M2TS file.

Also have anydvdhd on to strip off any protection and HDCP.
