I just wanted some advice on self install multiroom. I understand that you have order a card from sky, but would sky mind that I got my own second box and got installation done from some one else. What about warranty. would that avoid anything.

When I enquired with sky last year they were quite happy to send me out an additional card and for me to use my own box as long as both boxes were connected to the telephone line however I would have had to enter into a new 12 month argreement

I think ill do that then.
obviously they will ask for the box serial number to match up the card?

yes they will need to pair the card with the receiver

Did mine a few months ago just got in touch and told them I had a old box. They sent me a card in the post u just ring them up and give them the number if the box and it comes in while your still on the phone...

Never had mine connected to telphone line yet...

I would connect it mate or you may face being billed for a full subscription.
