Hodgson Sacked!!

Nothing personal against Roy Hodgson but, the job was too big for him. Hopefully he gets another job that suits his style.

Hodgson was the wrong appointment from the start. Should not of been in the running, and certainly should never of got the post. However, all the fans calling for King Kenny, how short are your memories?

Dalglish has not managed in the Premiership in nearly 10 years. He walked out on Liverpool, Blackburn and Newcastle. Never won anything after leaving Liverpool, yet he is being hailed as the saviour of Liverpool. Perhaps its time the Liverpool fans stopped living of their illustrious history?

You need a strong appointment, with excellent scouting and coaching skills, able to deal with big egos, and play good attractive football. Only one name springs to mind for me, and he should of been the one appointed before Hodgson. Frank Rijjkard has to be the name in the frame for the job, or could Liverpool fans now see the appointment many wanted a long time ago, in Martin O'Neill.

Surprised this happened before the fa cup tie but i can almost hear the chants of "were going to win the league" echoing round Anfield now that the messiah is back in town lol. Good move for Liverpool but i fear for Daglish given that you cannot polish a turd ;)

Whilst you make some valid points I would just like to point out that one thing Kenny won after he left Liverpool was the Premiership title.

A few things Kenny will not have lost are his character, his will to win and his knowledge of the Liverpool fans.
I think that he is a safe pair of hands for the rest of the season, and then who knows.
As always whoever is the Liverpool manager will get my full backing, unless I think that he is going to cause a huge amount of damage.
Which relegation would have been.
I do expect us to progress under Kenny, and to get back to basics with a passing game.

The thing is Dalglish cant go wrong here, if he starts winning he is god, if he does not start winning he can blame Hodgson.

The thing is with Dalglish, when the going gets tough (if he becomes permanent) he will run a mile. He done that at Blackburn when he moved into the Director of football position and Ray Harford was in "charge". It got difficult so he left....done the same at newcastle then Celtic.

woy was a scapegoat it was rafa who put them in the shite, but now i think owen coyle will go to liverpool.....

Good points and i always wondered why he didint put himself forward for the role after Benitez was sacked and maybe this answers that question. He does have nothing to lose now and will become the saviour of Liverpool no matter what as long as they dont get relegated he will be on that pedestal. Kenny saved us from relegation etc etc i could almost hear the collective unzipping of scouse cocks from my living room pmsl.

dont feel too sorry for Hodgson, I think he was wrong to leave Fulham after he got his star players to sign new contracts at club and not move to other clubs, then he himself left.

Well done to Rafa, set the situation up so that his successor would have to climb a mountain to get anywhere with Liverpool team.

Dalglish was obviously going to put in as caretaker manager after Hodgson was fired, because it would be the only choice that would placate the Liverpool fans, if Liverpool go forwards or backwards from here on under Dalglish they wont complain

when did he do this with liverpool??

he left because of hillsborough i think i would have done
but 6 weeks after resiging he wanted to come back but the board had allready apointed a new manager

he did put him self forward for the job but the tits we had in charge picked hodgson

Thaks for your input sonny,

Where do you get your info from, SkySports or the s*n?.

Rafa obviously put them in the shite by leaving behind a squad that had the most players in the world cup of any team in the Premier league.

Hodgson then proceeded to try and turn a silk purse into a sows ear.

after he left liverpool for very emotional reasons, he managed blackburn later and won the league.....

It does seem to be a big step backwards to be honest, he hasnt managed in years. I mean where does it end and whats next perhaps they could bring in Thompson as assistant or even a new striker.

What a load of shite to spout. Relegation lol this is Liverpool fc in 2011 we're talking about, not Man utd in 1975. Kenny will always be on a pedestal to us. Your right, he doesn't have aything to lose, do you think he should have, considering the timing of the appointment ?

Most of the Kenny/Liverpool knockers on here seem to be missing a vital point as I see it, Kenny attends matches at Anfield just about every week, he'll be in the ground watching and knowing where changes need to be made, he'll know the type of player that would fill that spot, he's not been sitting there just taking in the atmosphere
