if you pass your audio through av amplifer thats not a problem ?

It doesn't have the drivers to decode DDS audio, so the VU+ box itself will not play any DDS regardless of if you have a surround system plugged in.

I can get a vu+ duo from hk or china for £150???

loads of them..

They are scams, I guarantee it. There are no clones yet and the boxes themselves are produced in Korea, the likes of Australians are paying £300+ sterling for them so there is no cheap solution.

See here Vu+ Duo Prices - Page 2 - Austech the guy who bought from Alibaba although defensive at first concedes he was scammed in the end.
